If you're like me, mornings are a bit crazy. Anything I can do to cut even a second out of my schedule helps.
I found a great tip for putting on foundation that not only saves time but actually works better! Instead of putting on moisturizer and then foundation, I put a drop of foundation in my palm and mix it with my moisturizer. I then apply my home-made "tinted moisturizer".
Makeup goes on smoother, looks more natural, and I have saved a step.

Back to School Lunch Ideas - Thermos Hot Dogs!
I read this idea on a website at the end of the summer and thought ... hmmmm ... I wonder if this would really work. So during the second week of school I gave it a try. Now my oldest is a picky eater. Even the menus designed for picky eaters don't work on her. She's so picky she critiques the foods she likes! So I had my doubts. But they loved it and have asked that I send these thermos hot dogs every week!
Enough already you say ... what are thermos hot dogs? So simple I can't believe I never thought of it myself. When you get up in the morning fill a soup thermos with boiling water. This will prep the thermos and get it hot. Right before they leave for school, dump that water out, put a hot dog in, and fill it again with boiling water. That's it. The hot dog cooks during their morning classes and is ready for lunch!
Send a bun in their lunch boxes and voila ... hot dogs for lunch! And mommy is the hero. Yea mom!
